Composition better?

    I took Bitter's advice on comp, took my original file size of 4.03MB and cropped it. I personally thinks this is better.

    Just a nit-pick ... Many of your photos of kids are shot from a point above their heads. Sometimes only slightly above as in this one but above nonetheless. Get a little bit lower. Shoot from a point at or below their eye level. Shooting above someone's eye level (even if that someone is an animal) subbordinates the subject and gives the impression that the photographer is on a pedestal looking down on them.

    I did that with a guitar once, but not people, good idea though.

    It is better, definitely, but take Craig's advice. Shooting from the "right" perspective will make a HUGE difference in your work.

    If you cant down lower then get the child up higher. Didnt yiou read the zeltman tutorial?

    But in this particular photo, I wanted her in the grass, not saying that in another shot putting her up higher would give for an array of different images. Some shot above the head, some shot below, some to the right....etc.

    Try using telephoto lens to blure out the background.
