Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I got some pictures this year at the United States Disc Golf championship. I currently have a few of them up on my local disc golf page that I created until I get some of the members. If I am not trying to sell the pictures do I need to get something to post them on my site?

Here is the site... The 3 pics on the right.

Thanks,

Nice shots. Realistically, you only need to register for copyright if you are going to want money from someone who uses the pictures without your approval.

If the shots are going to be used for anything other than editorial (such as talking about that championship in print or on a web site) or sold directly to the subjects of the shots, you will need a signed model release from the people in the shots. You can probably get that pretty easily if its for promoting next year's event or for promoting the sport. It doesn't matter whether you make money from the shots or not - using the shots to promote anything needs a model release.

Hope this helps,
Neil

Read the above answer.

No you don't need anything to use them on a web site for education or editorial. News is the same as editorial.

Plus, I don't think the people in photo one could be idenitfied, so that one wouldn't need anything if you wanted to use it for other purposes.
