Couple of shots C&C

Snapped a few fall shots of my girlfriend. This was very casual and I recognize the shadow on her face in the second picture, the first was intentional. Just looking for some feedback. Thanks.

She looks happy to be there. (Insert sarcasm here) Looks like you better earn some brownie points for dragging her out there.

On a more serious note, I like the potential in #1. I don't like that it was cut on the right. Either a slightly wider shot in this format or turn to a landscape format and zoom in a little on her head and hand.

Hhmmm. Not much help. Doesn't work for me. I like how the leafe is matching her skirt. Shadow is too harsh. I think the shot would have been better just before sunset. Just a bit too sunny. She seems a bit annoyed too which doesnt add to the pic.

She was mostly annoyed because the sun was in her eyes. Thanks for the comments, the lighting was good but kinda harsh as these were shot mid-day.

So the light annoyed the model, was harsh and shot at pretty much the worst time of day, but it was still good? Mmmmm.... okay.

Not trying to be a jerk but I would say the light is definitely not good and killed what could've been a nice shoot with an attractive model.

Well, it was my girlfriend and while we were visiting a public garden, I decided to try it out. If this were a "real" shoot, it obviously would not have been at noon in direct sunlight. Thanks for the comment, these were from a month or so ago and I understand alot more now then I did then. Thanks for the feedback.

Gotcha. I'm no pro so nearly everything I shoot is spontaneous, so lighting and time of day are rarely optimal. That just means we have to work a little harder (and smarter) to make the most of what we've got.

Lol, she wasn't she was down for shooting- it was partly her idea. The sun was just directly in her face. As mentioned early.
