Couple shots from the weekend C+C

Took a couple shots this weekend with a camera i grabbed on saterday morning it is a minolta srt-201 with a 50mm lense, picked it up for $20, just thought i'd post some photos for C&C

i'm still fairly new to film photography, so dont be afraid to tell me what i did wrong, i love film photography and would like to learn as much as i can.

I am still really new to this too (I did a lot of black and white film photography) but in my opinion the lighting look a little harsh. On the second one there is a lot of space around it that does not have anything going on in it, maybe try filling the frame with more of the subject. Then again I think that photography is art and the beauty of it is in the eye of the beholder and can be interpreted differently by everyone. Again I am not a pro but those are my thoughts. The pose is very nice in the first one and the location is great because it is free from distractions. I think with a little better lighting (maybe evening light or using a reflector or diffussing the light) would make them fantastic!

thank you for the coment, the lighting is harsh, i was defenatly using the wrong settings that day, you should see some of the others, but oh well, its all in good fun and learning, these were just my fav and i tohught they turned out fairly well, just lookin for some helpful advice, thanks again.
