Coyote (round 2...pushing my luck)

Went back looking for old Wiley the Coyote. I found his den area so finding him should be easy if he hangs around. This time I got very close, probably pushing my luck.

A cayote is unlikely to do anything to you. Stick to it and your sure to get some exceptional shots as he starts to be more comfortable around you. Just don't lose your sence of safety. Nice shots by the way.

These are some really nice photos.

If you intend on going back to keep photographing the coyote(s), you can purchase a hip holster/pepper spray. This way you will help keep your chances of a bad encounter to a minimum.

Excellent shots; my favourite is that in which it comes from behind the tree; i wonder how it looks so comfortable in your presence!! is coyote a sub species of fox or wolf ?
