Take a look at braineack's post processing for Lars and his turbo. I think it would work well with your shots.

in the least, you need some separation with the BG, but with 1 light it might be a little tough.

I'd try to move your light MUCH closer to the subject and get rid of any of the spill on the bg.

As for processing, I started with the Ultimate Fighter Preset and went from there.
