Criticism, Please!

I really like the desaturated version compared to the color one. The tree sticks out even more in the colored version... and I don't really like the whole yellow striped sweater,green background, pink flower combo. The slightly desaturated look is nice.

Other than the things previously mentioned, I'm surprised no one mentioned her hair. I feel like you cropped it up too high, the end of her hair is cut off. I think the composition would be much stronger with more space towards the bottom.
Don't get me wrong, however, it's a nice start. Some things to thin about for next time. :thumbup:

Thanks! I'm always looking for constructive criticism. I usually get "OMG! That's awesome!", which isn't exactly helping me improve. Lol. Next time I get a guinea pig I will have to try all of your suggestions. Thanks!

I prefer the desaturated version as well. Though the highlights in the hair bother me. Noticed that first, then the tree then the subject. I also feel that her eyes need to be brightened up a bit. She's got nice eyes and I feel they should be brought out more.
