What's new

Crop sensors are what??

Its not the size of your sensor but how you use it.

Choose the right tools for the right job. Use the tools correctly.

I still prefer my FF ;) But if I had a whole team to set up lighting in a cool setting like that, I wouldn't care what modern camera I have.

Is the d7200 the high end of the low budget consumer range?

Saw edited more detailed explanation after I asked question

I prefer low-end of the hi-end range on the same shelf as the D600/610. Both will probably drop if/when Nikon ever rolls out a crop sensor pro body. So far, I'm loving my D7200 and lose no sleep wondering which league it plays in.

I don't care either. I found the terminology interesting

If Nikons lens lineup for DX wouldnt be so limited, I might still be using DX.

One thing I really miss from DX for sure: the wide AF field.

Maybe the title of this post was badly chosen. The idea was to show what was possible with the right know how and lighting, not so much a dx fx thing.

Formerly true but less so every year. DX line of lenses is developing nicely IMHO
