Excellent! The only suggestion I have is that you add some blank space underneath the young lady in #5. It's a great capture combining expression and flight but it needs to show some distance from the floor (unless she was just collapsing into the splits). It should be fairly easy to do, although the curtain does complicate the issue. I may have a go at it myself tomorrow, if you don't mind.

1 and 2 are classic!

I can't see these at full size to see how the grain looks. I can't find how to view sizes on Flickr's new look and the full screen option just gives me two circling balls for ever. EDITED TO ADD - Finally got it to work - the old dog can still learn new tricks.

You really should have put these on a separate thread so they'd be fully appreciated. :thumbup: I've said before that I shoot a lot of dance and I'd be proud to claim any of these shots.

Thank you, that means a lot! I'll play around with recropping #5, although I can't remember if she was falling into the splits or not.

Here's my take on #5: Working in PSE8 I created a new, larger image with a black background, cut and pasted your image onto it, painted over the curtain, merged and then did the fine work around her back and back leg (creating masks with a 5% feather) with the burn tool set at about size 50. I also reduced the noise a little keeping most of the detail. I then played with the crops a bit and settled on the 1 x 1 ratio, you may prefer a different crop. I spent about 15 or 20 minutes. There may be better/easier ways to do this, I've never had any instruction on Photoshop and just do what works for me. I enjoyed every minute; it's always a pleasure to work on quality dance photos!

Nice job! I like this version a lot better, the space at the bottom makes a big difference.
