I think you've got a good shot here, but it's underexposed. I think you should try playing around with tones to bring out highlights, which this photo lacks completely.

I also think whatever it was you did to her skin is

a) inconsistent
b) exaggerated in places (left corner of her mouth, etc)

Does she have bad skin?

I like the shot.. her eyes, her expression.. but playing around with it will make it more interesting for sure, plus the retouching of her skin needs more thoroughness.

i like the composition, but it needs more contrast, i think.
the backround is the light level same as the subject and the lack of any true whites or blacks take away from the photo i think

Some dodge strokes in the eyes/teeth areas would be an easy way to add emphasis. Not going to fix what's mentioned above, but could definitely add some interest and range. At least, I think it could.
