Crowd was in the very large to huge group, very subdued, serious, orderly and civil.
No police could be seen in the rallying area, just a very few on the parade route.

I would be interested if you looked at the picture again and tried to make something out of it more than a photo of a woman.
(I want to see if I missed the boat entirely)

I think I'm missing it. I just see an angry woman (or gassy) and what looks like Christmas shoppers. Aside from barely being able to make out what I now presume is a sign I would've missed the message.

This will probably be easier to understand if you see it amongst a bunch of other pictures from the demonstration about police excesses with African Americans in the US.
What I was hoping to show symbolically, as snerd said, that the African American community is disturbed and upset and the white majority is seen as 'turning their backs' on the problem.

I don't see it. I just see a single woman with a concerned or focused or even a bit of angry look on her face.

She looks upset or like she just smelled something really nasty. Since you mentioned you took it at the demo today I can see it as she is angry. If you had just posted it without saying anything about where/when it was taken the photo wouldn't have made much sense to me.

I'm not in America of course but we have had a lot of reports on the current situation there in our media. Perhaps, then, I am too far removed, but the photo and the title don't seem to fit together. I am getting nothing of the message that you wish to convey; the woman certainly looks upset about something but it could be over her gas bill for all that I can tell here. Sorry.
