Demonstration for and against the UN in Libya behind the WHite House in DC
There is the interesting circumstance of putting Answer.org, a very liberal group, onj the side of Khaddafi.

On a personal note, I wish they would have these demonstrations later in the day when the light was better.

I really like photos 2 and 3, especially 3 although I think photo 5 is the most interesting because you can see the banners and so much of what is going on. Shame the demonstrator in photo 8 blocked his face with his arm because it would have been good to get a clear shot of his face but, that is the nature of these events, you can't ever get them to pose just as you can't get them to arrange their protest around the lighting conditions :thumbup:

Although people don't mind having their pictures taken, the challenge in these situations is to figure out what you want to show and then get into a position where the picture is documentary and has a decent composition.

The fellow in 8 was yelling and I took several exposures as I tried to get in front of him - but he turned away and went into a huddle just when I got in front of him. Time was short for me so I couldn't wait.
