Destin Florida "Street" Photography (at the beach) C&C Welcome

On vacation, and taking some 'street' pictures. A bit easier than downtown in IL as everyone has a camera. Ok, not everyone has the 70-200 /2.8 with the 1.4x extender but hey...whatever. It's gotten me some great shots, and some conversations. Mainly I've been shooting the family in the water, but also got a few of some random people.

Thoughts?

1. Hey, whats in the bucket? I tried to locate the parents post shot, but really...I'm on vacation so I didn't kill myself over it. If I had I would have given them the shot.

2. First time body boarder- I did find the parents after this shot. The dad was pretty excited because it was apparently the first time she had ever gone, and successfully rode the board. I sent them the pics and they were thrilled. She really seemed to enjoy the moment.

3. My daughter after a full day of sun and fun. She was whipped.

4. For all of you wondering what the man behind the lens is...here I am with my wife in our yacht. My eldest daughter was taking the picture. TV mode.

5. My wife and 2 of my 3 daughters in a wave.

This is an interesting set! I love #3 and LOVE LOVE LOVE #5! The capture of their reaction and movement of the water is awesome. #4 looks like you are about to whack your wife with (I'm assuming) its a paddle/ore? LOL

Out of curiosity did you ask permission before taking the photos?

No. Public beach, no permission needed. I do this as a hobby, and have no intention of using them for commercial purposes. In fact, I don't use any pictures for commerical purposes. I'm strictly a amature hobby photographer. Your laws and rules may vary.

And I might add, using a 70-200 with the 1.4x extender allows for some discretion. I'm not standing 'RIGHT THERE', most shots were 30 yards (90 feet) away for the stranger pictures. They didn't even know I was there.

No, sorry I hope I didn't come across as rude either. I just wasn't sure if your country had different rules on public places/privacy. Cheers, and thanks for the comments.
