Destined ~ Seen here at approximately 11 weeks old, a young gun dog prospect named TRAD is experiencing a case of "sniffer overload" as he investigates two bag limits of geese taken by my gunning partner and myself earlier on a morning six years ago. T'was clear that wee TRAD had outstanding bird drive hardwired into his DNA. I remember thinking to myself that TRAD had all of the traits that as a trainer, I love to see in a young prospect pup. I instinctively knew that TRAD was destined to become an outstanding gun dog.

Cross Trained ~ Now at age six years, TRAD has had countless bird contacts whilst hunting both upland birds and waterfowl. Countless hours of training, having hunted as both my personal gun dog and utilized in guiding clients, those early signs exhibited by TRAD as a wee pup confirmed my expectations that he would achieve outstanding proficiency as a gun dog.

HRCH UH TTF CRAIGHORN KIFFIN TRAD SH ~ Having distinguished himself as an outstanding gun dog whist hunting both upland birds and waterfowl, TRAD is also an accomplished HRC and AKC Hunt Test K9 athlete. TRAD has earned his HRC Hunting Retriever Champion and Upland Hunter Titles. Additionally, TRAD currently holds an AKC Senior Hunter Title and needs two additional qualifying scores to earn an AKC Master Hunter title which he will be campaigned toward in 2020.

A treasured companion and considered a beloved member of our family, TRAD isa joy to spend time with whilst afield chasing birds and whilst curled up at my feet as we sit in our living room.

TRAD and I will be hunting pheasants tomorrow morning.

Nice set as always, I just love #2. I wish we had birds that colorful down here. Maybe we do, I just don't see them. Ring-necked pheasants are they?
