We often get rainbows out back & yesterday we got another. I had a CPL on my Vivitar 24/2.8 & when I rotated the filter, to my surprise, the rainbow completely disappeared. I did not remove the filter but rotated it until the rainbow was brightest & took this shot.

well a rainbow is reflected light off water, something a CPL should eliminate. Nice shot, very clear rainbow!

Yep, I knew that, but I have studied the properties of visible light ,and other wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum for years and years.
