I just replied to your PM. People have been trying to help. You don't like hearing the same thing over and over again? Maybe it should be a clue that you need to take the advice given over and over again like start with the basics. If you aren't open to taking advice and/or suggestions then why are you here? Well, this is pretty much pointless now.

I have also got out my photography book that I started reading to start over to see if that helps too as seeing so many people keep telling me to read up on it. When I did post the Christmas lights I used some of those settings and just got negative feedback for using those settings. This to me seems like a double standard and also makes it confusing causing it harder to learn it right.

You received negative feedback on the Christmas lights photos because they weren't good, not because of a double standard. The fact that you started reading a book on photography does not necessarily mean that your photos will start improving right away ...or ever for that matter. Some people are more naturally talented than others and they will learn to effectively use the knowledge they absorb by reading guides, books and looking at photos and videos than others. Some will never get it. Don't take the critiques so seriously. Instead try to learn from the negative comments. That's what they're for. If taking photos makes you happy then, by all means, keep doing it regardless of what anyone says.

I have new photos that I took the other night (not christmas) that I could post that were taken at a scene as well as some other from other scenes taken at night or day for further comparrison with or without tripod or monopod but feel like it probably wouldn't make a difference in what people think of me now or about my skills improving. I call a truce and want to start over from step 1 only to have a lot of what happened before on the other threads happen here now. I have also notified the Mods to close the other threads. Thank You
