Different processing thoughts please

Here is a little before and after of a photo I took in chicago a couple months ago. I am trying some different B&W styles let me know your thoughts

I'm curious what you were going for. The conversion is too dark for my tastes.

Maybe lighten up the sky a bit ... also there is a white "rim" around the building that would be more pleasing if it weren't there
