I work in a advertising company has a designer, but I want to be able to cull some personal photos in my office, could I use Digikam in the office computer?

Then comes the issue of office policy.
it is generally not advisable to do private work on company computers.
If te computer is yours and dedicated to the business and depending on local laws, then its a simple matter of loading the program.
But if the laws say its exclusionary, then no.

Best to talk to or research the laws on that in your area.
