Well, and you wonder why I live here... this is what I miss when I don't!

Ok, I wanted the picture to be spooky. I wanted to be uncomfortable. I wanted it to be like that dark hallway that you wouldn't walk down as a kid because you just KNEW the ghosts where going to get you. The green eyes are the ghosts. The lightning and the shark are what you are afraid of also but the city in the background is what you want to get to. The bridge is your path and the rest is effect.

And Tammy, I don't hate you for saying that. It is your opinion. I wanted it. I'm glad you gave it. I'm glad you didn't force it on me.

Mark and Tammy, I did not turn in this version of the picture. I turned in her version for the grade or I would have not done well in the class.

The shark under the overpass makes me think of Shark Encounter at Sea World, in fact, when I first saw it, that's where I thought the picture was taken.

Karissa: for what it is (a class assignment with certain characteristics being forced upon you) it's not bad at all. Unfortunate that you had a teacher with such exacting rules who then turned it around on you - but at least you've shown enough maturity to get it from her point of view.

All that said, this kind of image just ain't my thang. It would make a weird kind of poster, I suppose, (blacklights, anyone?) but it doesn't do much beyond that for me.

I don't take any offence to anyone commenting that "it isn't their thing". This forum does have a style preference as a whole and that picture is a little off from that. Also, it is one of the first pieces of artworks I ever did. I have learned so much more since then. I wanted to hear what you guys had to say about it and I meant it. I knew that you wouldn't leave me with a bleeding heart but you would convey the errors or dislikes in a way that was constructive. That is what makes this such an inviting and wonderful place to learn. Thanks for all your wonderful words of wisdom.
