digital portrait backgrounds?

is there any where to get free digital backgrounds to swap out for portraits? mostly thinking for elements but would be nice to be able to find something for gimp or to use generically too. not real ones, just digital.

LOTS of them - I don't have any links handy, but if you search 'digital backgrounds' and similar, they are widely available.

kinda the do it yourself reply you didnt want to hear but if you're shooting on a green-screen I would really recommend photographing your own backgrounds

the problem i had so far, if anyone noticed my other thread. is when i implant a subject into the digitized background it looks really obvious and fake. i did end up finding some backgrounds but nothing really pro oriented. i just didnt want to spend the money on actual real backgrounds. I have been using blankets and sheets up till now.

I didn't see it. Link to it and I'll go have a look.

Without looking, my guess will be that you need to work on your masking and feathering techniques, as that's the most common early hurdle for those learning digital background use. But I'll take a look and let you know what I think.

it is pretty sad really. using elements. could do it in gimp too i suppose but i am trying to keep it simple to start. Think i need LOTS of practice.
