I am considering displaying two vertical b/w (24x36 framed) pictures side by side above my couch. My problem is, I am unsure how this would look since my wall is very dark gray/brown. The images would be in a bright white matte with a black metal frame (about an inch thick). The images are cityscape shots at night so they would be even darker than the wall. My alternative is to replace the images with the same view but shot during the day so the images would be lighter than the wall. I prefer the night images, but don't know if this would work.
Or because the wall is so dark, should I avoid b/w all together?
