Do I bother watermarking?

The thing with watermarks are that if someone does steal your image and goes through the trouble of removing the watermark is shows intent on his part to steal the image. He can't just go ahead and say he didn't know he couldn't use it. All personal preference, for myself it doesn't take away from the image unless it is huge and centered.

what software do you all use for watermarking? any half decent free ones out there please?

Well, there are many reasons, but mainly because I want to.

That's why I do it. I don't need anymore reason that.
