Does the Pentax P30t require film to work?

The shutter wont fire or advance. It has good batteries in it. Any thoughts?

My guess is no, but there's only really one way to find out. Put some film into it and test it out

The only other thing I'll say is just make sure you have the right batteries.

IIRC, no... you can dry fire the camera. I had a P30t a long time ago.
