What's new

does this sound right?

Are you flippen high?! OMFG only in North America can somebody sue/take a family member to court over the most stupid things. Go play in traffic (directed towards your friend)

You're a long way from correct if you think that ludicrous court cases only get filed in America.

However, I agree with the sentiments in this thread.

I'd punch your friend in the face, even if she is a chick. She deserves to be hit for being so ****ing dumb.

.

What if somebodies kid knocked your 5D onto the floor and broke it? Would you punch the 3 year old in the face too? God you're violent. I'm glad I don't live next door to you. If the child was in the victims home with consent, I would say she has no case. Had the kid sneaked in through a window, broke the camera and then was caught making a getaway, the parents of said kid would be responsible. It's just as if your car is parked on a street corner. Some kid on a bike smashes into the door by accident and gets caught. The parents would be responsible for the damages because they are responsible for the kid. In the OP'S case, the friend, the kid was put in her care making her responsible for the childs actions, by consent.

No, that's the whole point. I couldn't get mad at a kid if I put myself in the position to have my camera knocked onto a floor from a table. I'd be mad at myself, and hold myself responsible for my mistake.

God you're violent. I'm glad I don't live next door to you.

I'm glad I don't live next to you either, you made it clear in your first thread that you're not terribly bright.

O VRAIMENT?

Had the kid sneaked in through a window, broke the camera and then was caught making a getaway, the parents of said kid would be responsible.

Did you establish that all on your own?

It's just as if your car is parked on a street corner. Some kid on a bike smashes into the door by accident and gets caught. The parents would be responsible for the damages because they are responsible for the kid. In the OP'S case, the friend, the kid was put in her care making her responsible for the childs actions, by consent.

Great work, you reiterated the general consensus of the thread.

I made it clear in my first thread that I'm more bright than you'd like to think. And you can't stand it. Some things we just have to learn to live with. All people are not the same nor do they have exact preferences. For instance, you might be into pez dispensers, while I like to read books. This does not mean I should snatch your pez dispenser from you while you're playing and force you to learn something from a book. It only means that we're different. I see no reason why we can't get along. Who knows? I might learn to like pez dispensers.

Nah dude, it's cool. I've got the ignore feature.

She should focus her energy on buying a less sh*tty camera, then learning how to properly store/supervise it instead of suing her friends.

Watched an episode of Judge Judy lately? haha

But seriously this girl sounds like a total asshole.
