What do you think to the crops? and technical aspects

#1.. no eye contact... lots of dead space.. lot of distractions in the background.. exposure and focus on dog is fine

Agreed and you seem to want to learn and get better, that's a good thing.
These look like you were just standing up and snapped a few pics of your dog. You are learning or have learned how to use your camera, about exposure etc etc, now you can be creative and do more than just snap pictures.

Consider your overall image before you shoot.
If you are going to have something in the background, either make it interesting or at least pleasing.
Unless you are physically unable, try a different angle
