cc welcomed. i touched the sharpness and dropped the contrast to try to keep more details. still contemplating increasing the structure.

Tonally, it is gray, i got that.

brought the contrast back up, added structure. Seems i might be losing details though.

The second works better - I like the way it brings out the details on the door. The one thing I would try is to block the contrast increase on the left so the highlights on the (screen door?) frame don't get too light and end up distracting. If you can't do that, then maybe you can darken along the left side or just crop the whole thing out. I think the image is better with it because you have strong horizontals in all three parts of the image, but the lightness of that frame is a bit much.
