A long, long time ago I dabbled in SLR photography using film. This is my first venture into SLR digital photography, and I borrowed a camera to get a feel for it. I'm definitely a newbie, and would appreciate comments and advice. Thanks!

I really like the thrid one! The way that it has it's wings makes for an awesome pose!

I would guess that they used a longer length macro lens. Like a 100mm or 180mm.

Actually, the dragonflies were very cooperative, unlike the breeze that kept moving the subjects out of focus. I used a telephoto lens, at 200mm most of the time. It isn't macro, unfortunately. I'd love to have that. Thanks for the comments!!
