This is my favourite macro shot

For good reason too. It's a solid shot! It may be just a hair underexposed but it has very nice soft lighting and your composition is nice too. The composition is actually pretty unique when I think about many of the other dragonfly shots I've seen. Keep shootin' :thumbup:

BTW, if someone MUST feel the need to place a watermark... you've got a fine example of what is appropriate for one

Hehe, thanks mjhoward Btw, I always try to make my macro shots well composed and well post processed because I like to make my macro shots artistic as every other image. Demonstration of good equipment and huge magnification are not primary for me. This is maybe best example at how I look at macro photography.

I like it. I am biased though as dragons are my absolute #1 favorite photography subject (followed closely by Mantids and Robberflies). Do I see quite a bit of noise reduction done? A bit of heavily diffused fill flash would have benefited this image, but it's hard to get the dragon lit right from this angle.
