Photos OK to edit
So I finally got around to editing this underexposed photo of the road my dad used to bring my brother and I down for his version of the Poor Man's Rollercoaster:

Curves adjustments on each channel individually and a high-pass filter to bring out some of the texture of the photo a little....

I miss my dad sooo much whenever I look at this photo...imagine going about 70-80 mph down this road and you'll understand the "Poor Man's Rollercoaster" idea

I like the road leading to the cloud in the back...kind of neat...but next time I should probably attempt that instead of being a luck shot...

Aww, awesome road!! And nice edit. That road would, as we call it, tickle our stomachs!

I think as far as the adjustments you made, you did a great job. My only suggestion would be to try a portrait crop:

Nice! Thank you...that was a great idea and in my humblest opinion, strengthened the photo...

But now I noticed I curved too much in the reds...clouds and other highlights went pink...son-of-a-b______

When I opened your photo in Paint Shop Pro it made me change the color space from Adobe RGB to sRGB, so that may have something to do with it. Do the crop yourself and it may look okay.

No...it was my copy that was pink...so I re-did the edit...with the crop you suggested...and since it seems to be the "cool" thing to do...I decided to add my name and a roll-your-own vignette...just for esses and giggles:

Your photograph brings me back to a time in my life where I laid in a field and sucked sweet nectar from peaches from a local peach tree. I remember the sensation the peach juice had as it would run down and drip off my chin, forever leaving a trace of its existence on my plain white t-shirt.

7.6/10

Did you soften it as well? :) I'd say go for selective colouring in the lamp posts :P

And vertical would be the logical choice of orientation.. It's almost obvious :P

edit: Perhaps selective colouring would indeed work in this, if you coloured the road?

Dude.

/dude It was a joke. At least I think it was. I think he was poking at all the people with crappy ass pics that bother putting a "water mark" on it like someone would want to steal their crappy arse photo. Hence the guy talking about selective coloring on it... It was hilarious. And take note of the size of the font he used. The completely solid color of white. The "manly masculine" font he used. It was a great joke I got a good laugh out of.

EDIT After the thought, not really an edit. I am betting you were high when you wrote that. I am also betting it was said like that movie, Dude where's my car. Or whatever. lol Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
