Engagement Session

Hi there!
I am new to the Photo Forum. My name is Kelsi, and I thought I'd share some photos from a recent(ish) engagement session I did. Enjoy!

Look overall okay, I would just watch for the blown out backgrounds. May have been what you were going for sooo who knows. That's all I really have to say.

Looks great to me. Comp and exposure look good. One nit-picky thing I have is some minor cleanup on the images. First two I can't really find anything.

Third photo there is some hair/makeup marks on his jacket on the lapel (I think that's what it's called) and lower down. Looks like there might be some nose hairs coming out of his nose. haha (kinda silly, but it caught my attention) And her nose, I can't really tell what's going on. It could be that it's a low res or something but it seems like there's some stray hairs going across her right cheek and onto her nose. Since it's not a big chunk of hair that adds character they could probably go.

In the fourth photo there is just some lint on some different spots of his jacket.

But overall great images! Maybe these aren't the final finals but just thought I would point it out. Sometimes when I go through and do cleanup like that I click from the before and after and sometimes it's crazy how much that little stuff sticks out when you toggle back and forth.

Did you do any touch-up on the eyes in any of them? If not, you could maybe sharpen/contrast them just a little to have them pop a touch more. (could be cause I'm looking at low-res though.)

The "look" here is pretty clearly deliberate, so I won't comment on blown out highlights or whatever.

These are cute photos! They should be happy with them.

Was she really wearing that much makeup, or did you got a little far making her skin sleek on photoshop? I can't tell. Either way, her skin's not particularly flattering. If you did it in post, I'd suggest backing off a touch and letting her look a little more natural. Other than that minor quibble, well done!

Please stop using the clarity slider. It's muddying your people up immensely. They look like missed focus that you tried to recover.
