Nicely done. Out of curiosity, how much do they soak you for a commercial permit for that place?

Thanks. To be honest I don't remember exactly. I rarely shoot on Los Angeles county's properties and we didn't need a permit for this shoot as long we don't use light stands/tripod/reflectors. The OCF came from my assistant bouncing a flash off of one of the walls.

Orange county's permit is $150 per shoot with $1m of insurance policy. I shot at the Los Angeles Arboretum and the permit was $300 for one session. The Huntington Library in San Mario, CA charges $850 for a permit for a shoot. Fullerton Arboretum in So Cal charges $100 per shoot. So it varies but I pass the cost onto the clients.

Wow permits are expensive! If I am ever shooting in an area like that I will have to get a wheelman, and have him keep the car running, so we can make a run for it!!!

Security is very strict but they are friendly. All they can do is to ask you to leave. But yeah, permit is expensive since California cities are hurting for cash.
