entry level dslr?

hi

im thinking of buying an entry level dslr. im currently ooking at the nikon d40x and the canon 450d or 400d. i dont really know much about dslrs. which makes have the best lenses?

oh yeah its just for a hobby

suggestions would be appreciated.

Not the Nikon D40x that's for sure. This camera can't autofocus with many of the lenses in Nikon's lineup because it lacks an AF motor. I'd be looking at the Canons, or wait till Nikon releases their D60.
