I agree with the other posters, Canon is probably the best choice but look at all the cameras and lens including mirrorless systems

5 years ago I had the same question. I bought my first digital camera. It was a Nikon D3200 from Buydig for $270.00. It was refurbished and came with a Nikon warranty and a 18-55 mm lens. It was a very satisfying move on my part. A friend of mine asked the same question a few weeks ago. I recommended that she buy a pre-owned low priced DSLR on the Facebook marketplace or eBay.
