I'm currently writing an argumentative essay on animal testing. My outline is done. This is a sensitive topic, so I'm not sure if I'm allowed to start a (civilized) debate.

Yeah know you can send pm's to mods - we don't bite (although Terri might tie you down and Mish might whip you but you should be able to survive that mostly ). I'm not aware of there being any precedent set for not discussing this, however it is a sensitive topic and as such could easily have many people run their emotions very high.

It might be something better suited to the subscribers section where rules are little more relaxed - out here in the open side of the site I've a feeling that the discussion could become quite heated

But of course! I have a 22.5" Weber Smokey Mountain (WSM) that I use regularly. I love that thing. I do briskets, Boston Butt, pork ribs, chicken, turkeys, etc. No fish though.

Ha I have the exact one! I've done ribs, butt, brisket and a roast. Not poultry yet but maybe this summer I will give it a go.

I want to do fish and lobster, but the cook time is so short and the prep and clean time is so much that I have been putting it off.

Unless you just want the combined forces of Mish and me raining down upon you. If that's what this is really about, cut to the chase.

If not...kidding aside, I see you're not a subscriber, so you have to use your judgment. Are there political, religious/ethical ramifications associated with your argument? There is a strong chance that there are. In that case, it's not the best subject matter for this forum.
