well its not really a compact and its not an slr, its a hybrid, i can change ISO, f stop, shutter speed, exposure overide, everything like an SLR but i cannot change the lens, i can add on to it for a telephoto, wide angle and a macro if i wanted to via a converter and add any canon flash on to it too as it has a hot shoe adapter
