Faeries From The Bristol Rennaissance Faire

I tend to only do black and white because I love the emotion and feel of it. That and I'm a little bit color-blind. These pics, however, need to be in color.

Thanks Folks! I may post other pics from the faire later in the week. Unfortunately I had a lousy spot for the joust and none of the shots turned out well and for the falconer, I was terrible at capturing the birds in flight.

That last photo is very, very pretty. Not only are the fairies and their make-up pretty, but also the composition of the photo, the inclusion of the windows in their background, the way they sit on the railings of those stairs ...

Thank you! Although I love the first and second ones for the emotion of the moment, I am most proud of the fourth because I actually saw it, worked for position, and then waited for them to cooperate.

I wanted the diagaonal line of the windows coming from the upper right to continue through the faeries and it does across the top of two of their heads. And then the line of stair bannister is echoed through the line of the right-most faery's body on up to the middle faery's head. And the middle faery's leg continues on down the bannister.

Some of it was dumb luck, like the leg of the middle faery and the angle of the right faery's body, but the lines across the tops of their heads continuing on to or echoing other lines in the structure was intentional! It's one of the few pictures that I actually planned in my head and then turned out pretty much as intended!
