Family Picture C&C Please

I know I should have used a fill flash but forgot it (I know" always be prepared") I like it but is there anything I can do now to help improve it? I am trying to learn so anything will help.

Yes - dial the saturation back a notch (or two -- especially in the orange) add a highlights & shadows adjustment, and possibly use dodge & burn tools.

A tree is growing out of Dad's head. The WB is off. The colors are a little vibrant.

The posing is nice.

The splotchy lighting is really distracting (especially on Dad's shirt). All my attention goes to his bright orange shirt and not to the faces. Also, take a second look at the pose. The Dad being cut off at the knees makes him look like a midget. I can see the Mom's foot but it looks like she is kneeling but then I can't see the Dad's feet so he just looked short and awkward. The girl in front looks so short and is almost lost out of the picture. Finally, the girl in the back left is just standing there. No interaction with the rest of the family at all. Try to connect everyone together to make them look like one big bonded family.
