hi all, i'm new the the DSLR world and learning different techniques of photography.
i have just learnt how to take these awsome startrail photos with alot of trial and error and finally got the image i wanted.
have a look and tell me what you think and how i can improve any feedback positive or negative welcome and feel free to browse through my other photos :D

edit: just figured out i can upload images on my profile so i'm currently doing that now

It is interesting but people don't see the world that way. So it lacks staying power beyond the casual glance. It is a good teaching exercise though.
 
I feel its a little washed out or overexposed. Maybe try playing with the White Balamce and maybe the Contrast a hair...

Also I think you got too much of the leafe/tree thingy in the shot. I'd prefer to see less of it or none of it.

Sobolik- I really like the real good ones this was just a trial i want to use it with a interesting landscape with only a small amount of startrail.

Jcampbell- Thanks i had soon figured out after how to post the images on the thread and in my profile.

Bus Rider- i agree, i used the tree to focus somewhat on the stars because i couldnt see them through my camera so i suppose this is why the stars arent so clear.
and there is so much of the tree because i only have a small back yard i had to choose between the tree and the roof :S. but i think i well get a much better shot next time out in the open where there is no city lights.
