Hi guys,
Today was my first attempt at photographing babies/toddlers. A friend of mine came over with his son and I was eager to try the new SB700 flash I bought a couple of weeks ago. These were shot indoors with my Nikon D7000 in relatively low light where flash was necessary. I shot with a 70-300mm lens, aperture of around f/5.6 and shutter set to between 1/50th to 1/100th of a second. The flash was set to TTL with flash compensation set to +2, no filter on flash, and flash was bounced off ceiling for every shot. I did some minor post processing in PSE (levels adjustment, white balance correction, crop, and highlight/lowlight slight adjustment) I would like to know what you guys think of these and suggestions for improvement would be greatly appreciated. I just realize that I probably shouldn't have cropped the head in one of them but I didn't want my friend's hand in the photo. Cheers
