Filter help please

What I'm wanting to do is a daylight long exposure shot. I also know that I need an extremely dark filter to attach to my lens but I'm not sure if there is one brand better than another or if the filter has a certain name. I hope I'm making a little bit of sense.

B&W and Singh Ray are both good. Depending on what you are trying to shoot, and how long you want the exposure.. anywhere from a ND4 up.. and you can stack filters also. If the sun is involved, look at ND10s too.

Thank you so much! I'm thinking around a two minute exposure but I've never actually tried it yet so it may be less...and it's water I'm shooting.
