Filters..UV & Polarizing

it depends , a plarizing filter can reduce glare on glass, etc. and saturation colors and increase the blue of a sky if used correctly.

Uv filters aren't really needed these days with digital cameras but many folks use them for lens protection. You decide.

I will get CPL and forget about the UV filter.

As mentioned, the most common use of a UV filter is simply for protection of the lens...I don't use them.

A polarizing filter can cut polarized reflections, it's one of the only filters that can't be replicated with Photoshop. If you are going to get one filter, I'd suggest a CPL. But you probably don't want to use it all the time because it does steal some light.

I wouldn't worry about the UV filter, but definitely recommend a GOOD polarizing filter. Unfortunately the ones that you have linked to are NOT good ones. Expect to spend $50 - 75 on a polarizing filter alone. Tiffen and Hoya multi-coated filters are adquate, B+W, Heliopan, Singh-Ray and Lee are good.

A cheap filter is usually worse than no filter at all. They will often increase CA, ghosting and other undesirable elements in an image. Spend the money and get at least the Hoya or Tiffens - you will be glad you did!
