Filters ???

Outdoor harsh overhead sun, (not the yellow glow of sunrise/set) maybe a warming. Other than that, Id also say the only one you'd probably need is a polarizer.

Maybe even a neutral density filter or a gradient neutral density filter. The gradient ND would allow you to keep the exposure down on the sky while getting your subjects exposed properly, a common problem in mid-day portrait photography. As stated above, the polarizer is a good one to have too.

Polarizing filters make peoples skin look strange.

Filters won't be of much benefit for outdoor portraits.

What you really need is a reflector or two including a diffuser capability, a good speedlight and the capablity to use it off camera.
