Daisy got the letter today from the Canadian Embassy in Manila, and she will be dealing with the last stage of the process now! she needs to send a photo, and her passport, and fill out one final document and send it to the embassy.

She should have her passport within 4-6 weeks, and then we can plan our flights, as I will return there and escort my "babies" home!! Finally!

as you can imagine, I have thousands of pics of her, so I thought this one would be appropriate as she was planning to swim to Canada if we didn't hear some news soon!! she is so funny!

Oh, I am soooo happy for the two of you! Now that the baby is on the way, you two (three) belong together! Now even 4 - 6 weeks seem to be a long time. I believe you'd much rather have her by your side NOW!
This is yet another very beautiful photo of her. It is not easy to take photos of people swimming. I wonder where you (and the camera! ) were when you took this one.
Very well focused, lovely play with skin and water colour, perfect light... do you ever take any bloopers?

hehehe.. sure, I take tons of messes up shots.. I usually delete 10% of my photos while (shortly after) shooting, as I review them on the spot, and using the close up view on the back of the cam, I can see how sharp a photo is.. then when I upload the pc, I usually delete another 25% of the shots., due to poor lighting, softness, or bad exposure.. this d70 takes some serious practice to get familiar with.

After 7 months with it, I am over 8000 clicks, and counting.. my guess is about 2% are worth posting here in tpf. This will give you an idea on how much junk I have here! hehe

This last stage of the process will be the most exciting, and the most trying on our patience. Not knowing when the passport/visa will be returned to Daisy makes it hard to know and plan the flights., I need to get a return flight from here, and have her (them) on my same flight home. The good thing is, that we know that she should be here in less then 2 months, which will give her time to settle here, and prepare for our childs arrival.

Thanks for your interest in our situation, and kind words once again!

P.S. I was in the pool, with the 70-300 fully extended.. I have 100's of swimming pics, and this is one of my favorite areas to take photos of my friends and family. Just need to watch out for the splashes!!

Raymond, while I don't know you, I do know how if feels to be away from the ones you love. Congratulations on your great news. I hope you don't mind me posting, as it seems that you may have meant this for LaFoto, but I couldn't just pass by and not say something. It was not my intention to offend, and if that is the case I truely offer my sincerest apology.

Thanks Jon, I was hoping that would be the case. I just find news like this just a little more touching since I am stationed in Iraq and away from my family. I miss my little girl tremendously and can only imagine the joy he will feel; I'm sure it will be similar to mine when I go home on leave(which will be in just over two weeks now-YEAH).

I also want to offer congrats to you and Hertz. While I have not been a member for very long, I have noticed that both you and he offervery good advise and have excellent opinions on how to help folks with their photos.

P.S. For the record, I didn't believe any of that stuff about you and some fictious power trip**cough, cough**this said in the hopes that on the day of reckoning I will be spared**

Thanks to everyone for the comments, all are welcome! It has been a trying experiance to say the least! We meet online via yahoo aug 10, 2003.. the time we have spent together has been the happiet times in my life! she is an incredible woman in so many ways.. I will post a new thread one day with more shots of her.

So, we wait, and hope, and chat 2x a day on yahoo and dream of a family together, healthy and happy.. some day soon!

thanks again for all of your well wishes!
