Fireworks and bonfires banned in Massachusetts

Great shot we have got anoyying neighbours who set off firecrackers off there back deck sometimes towards houses cant wait till the day the cops show up they dont do it to celabrate they do it at random for no reason

We had the locals, the city, the yacht club and the beach all firing off at the same time. The only ones that scared me were the twits shooting them off their boats - like sparks and gasoline rarely do well together. Great shots, Mike!

Thanks. Ha ha I was one of those twits in my younger days. We used to shoot Roman candles and bottle rockets at each other along with an M80 once in a while.

A couple of years ago, Michigan legalized fireworks other than sparklers. Today it's a nuisance. Last night bottle rockets, roman candles, and all manner of fireworks went off in the neighborhoods. It's become an absolute nightmare. Dogs, children, folks with PTSD, etc., go nuts. The legalization has been nothing but a revenue enhancement for the state, since they get a cut of every fireworks type sold.

This morning my driveway and patio area were covered with the detritus from the rockets, etc. Just waiting now for someone's house to be set afire. We already have enough visits to ER's from the "Here, Vern, hold my beer" crowd.

There are currently bills submitted to the state legislature, either to "re-illegalize" fireworks, or rein them in a bit. Guess how far they've gotten.

I love the commercial displays, but the amateurs...

Back in the old neighborhood, some of the neighbors would just pop their 9mms into the air (or sometimes each other).
Went to stadium for a few minutes -- too hot for the rest of the fam, so I'm not going to bother this year.

Well get them next time
