I now know what it feels like to be stalked by paparazzi, for when Jeanne took this photo of the bathroom window, I was inside ... doing ... well ... you know, erm ... things that even The Queen must do :shock: !!!

Oh. And good news!
My dad has already sent the CD with his photos taken from the banks of the Wümme of us in the canoes! And the mailman brought them today. So he was quick!

Two of Anty and Hertz in their canoe are really good!

(Keep in mind that his eyesight is really, really poor these days, so taking photos has become a bit of a challenge for him, he hardly sees what he's photographing any longer).

I'll show them when in my postings I'll have reached that Thursday.

#2 Another shot of Holland, just so you can see how flat Holland actually is

#3 Anty was totally happy with the swing in the garden of Ole Hoop

#4 And Corinna was thinking what she had gotten herself into

#6 Sandy heard we were going to the Duck pond and did the Chicken.....yeah, we didnt get it neither

#7 At the duckpond Tony tried to smoke and pick his nose at the same time, im not gonna tell you if he succeeded though.

#8 Jeff was just laying around a bit, being the perfect model and all

#9 This guy was driving around in his vehicle trying to find the roof of his house

#10 Sandy didnt pay attention and walked into a wall, as you can see, she bounced back with a "WTH" look on her face

#11 Jeff thought he made a decent shot, but got an F from Corinna.

#12 Later at the day we went to the local bistro and had some of these

#13 Only the smell of it made Anty sing Canadian drinking songs. If Tony knew the lyrics, he probably would have joined her. The lady in the back is grabbing her purse and wanted to pay her bill and get the hell out of that place

Carrying on around the harbour, there was a wealth of sites to see, some of them very picturesque both at first glance..

and on reflection...

This is of course a working harbour, and the scenery in general was more urban with great tones and lots of lines to play with

I spotted Alex's tug - parked in the wrong place though

Although there was a sign that they knew Alex was coming - I couldn't fit his first name in...

Jeff spotted something off to starboard - or was it port?

and Chris remembered the days as a child when he used to set sail from Stoke on Trent for adventures around the world

At that moment, Christiane was overtaken by a rather large Saab - "Land Ho!" shouted Sandie

And the captain weighed anchor - "yeah, about half a ton that is" he said in German

As we docked after months adrift on the cruel sea, wives and families of the sailors gathered on the steps to greet them

"Not this time Davey Jones!" came the cry as we stood on dry land for the first time in what must have been an hour!

It's rough being a sailor - deadliest catch has nothing on what we went through!
