Fireworks over Seattle

This was my first attempt at photographing fireworks using my Nikon D70 and remote. I had the camera on full manual and I was guessing on exposure times as I sat and watched the show. I took a total of 100 pictures and got lucky with this one. Unfortunately I think I have some debris in the lens and/or cmos, total bummer!!!
Be honest in your appraisal please, I have thick skin ;-)

That's a great fireworks shot; I would suggest leveling the image and perhaps cropping more closely to the actual fireworks, and in such a way as to move them slightly off center.

I actualy did this for the front screen on my Ifone. I posted the original un-edited photo, oops!!

ok so how is this crop? I'm still learning...

I'm leaning more towards the original but with more of a panoramic crop to it. It's a good showing of the Seattle skyline (from Alki?) and I like the way you got the Space Needle outlined with the one burst. I think maybe you could have gotten things a bit sharper if you had used mirror lockup, there seems to be a touch of movement to all the stationary objects. And your dust spots are an easy fix with either a clone or healing tool in post work.
