I'm curious there are local fireworks tonight whats the best lens to use I did recently just get a 50mm fixed but im not sure how that will go but what is the best lens for this?

50mm may be a little long, especially if it's a crop-sensor camera, but it depends on how far away you are. I like something wide enough to include some of the surrounding scene. Shooting fireworks is dead easy: Mount the camera on a tripod, set your focus to manual, focus the lens at infinity, aperture to f8(ish) and shutter-speed to 2 seconds to start, and preferably use a remote release, shoot, review, and adjust your shutter-speed until you get the desired result.

I used my 50mm and got some nice shots this is the best one personally
