First attempt at HDR

I think it looks good, but only if you are going for a very 'cartoonish' style. I think most people have the tendency to overdue the HDR.

Hey all, here is my first attempt at HDR. Its a shot I took of the Brooklyn Bridge and then processed it through Photomatix. I'd love your thoughts. Brooklyn Bridge HDR | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

I like it.

And I like the one currently next to it (Columbus Burnham Snow) even more.

I think that what people mean when they say it's 'awful' as a photograph is that if you want it to look like an reasonably natural photograph it doesn't. But I'm sure you're aware of that.

I often start tweaking a photograph and then decide to go way beyond what I originally intended and end up with something 'arty' looking (and usually not very good arty but with the occasional success).
