I'll have to agree with your honesty. It's in a pretty bad state, but mostly cause of the over filtering.

What exactly were you trying to achieve with this image, it's hard to guide you if we don't know where you want to go ;-)

the thing that makes this image so bad is the grey sky and all the other photoshop editing you have done, and the lack of a focal interest.

if you got a little lower to the ground and exposed the photograph correctly (dont mind the blown out sky.) it could have looked better with the shaddows.

the edit has a lack of contrast, colour and is under exposed and cluttered.

In my opinion I dont think its terrible. However I dont think it is a good subject for a HRR image. Its a little to dark, and the sky is to gray

I think it's bad because I just used the CS5 tool for HDR's in adjustments and just messed around with the sliders, thanks for your input everyone.
