first attempts at fireworks

I have been conspicuously absent for a while now, but I have been practicing and trying out different settings and techniques, taking many hundreds of pictures. Here are some of the best out of the 130+ shots taken at a local beach's fireworks show Monday night. Learned a lot...like how grateful I am not to have to process 130+ shots via Mystic (anyone remember Mystic photo in CT?) in order to see that a vast majority are somewhat to mostly useless. Thank God for digital cameras - I'd be broke...

I also played around with cropping...and found some interesting perspectives...
This reminded me of grass seeds and blades

Golden palm? kinda funky with the purple squiggly lines - 1960's art?

Same image as the first, different quadrant...This one reminded me of looking up at the sun while under water - with funky jellyfish babies drifting by in the current...lol

Very flowerlike...not sure if it should have more negative space, or less...?


And last is the 'Golden Tresses'....I was frankly amazed and delighted with the focus...tripods are our best friends
